Hotel Berlin Lichtenberg

We had an enjoyable stay with freshly cleaned rooms every day and a surprisingly hearty breakfast selection, although the outside seating area could use some tidy-up.

The absence of air conditioning. The location is a trek from the city center, and finding food nearby is nearly impossible!!! Limited offerings on-site left us scrambling for meals!!!

Noise from the busy streets around

Perfect hotel, clean, excellent staff, location outside of the city centre was perfect. Huge and neat room for what we needed with a nice bathroom and kettle plus ample space. The daily service was perfect. Got complimentary concierge service - they really care about guests. Location: the venue was just off the tram station as well as public transport from Berlin Schoenefeld airport.

The staff is nice and extremely helpful. The connection to the public transport is very good, only 3 minutes to the next stop.

Unfortunately there was no restaurant in the hotel. But it was no problem.

The location is horrid, 16 tram stops away from the city, really? No kettle in the room, how basic! I can't believe the still water is €4, like really? I expected at least a complimentary upgrade for my troubles, but apparently that's too much to ask. I almost wrote a good review, but just couldn't.

The breakfast was very good and extensive. But concerning fruits and vegetables, the buffet was nearly or completely empty at the end of the breakfast time.

The parking lot booking is a little bit confusing. The system with the coins to drive out is bad.

Location, comfort, size of room

The bowling alley was great, and we loved spending time outdoors at the nearby Orankesee lake and exploring the hiking trails. Easy parking. Definitely check it out if you're looking for fun activities!

It was a bit disappointing that the rooms didn't have air conditioning, made some nights quite warm.

Bed was very comfortable

At breakfast, I personally was missing fresh vegetables and the scrambled eggs were not quite as tasty.

There are large hotelrooms, good beds, fresh towels everyday and breakfast is various, enough to choose. The employers are very friendly.Interesting is that you are in the middle of the areas Lichtenberg, Marzahn en Hohenschonhausen, a good place to be for people who are interested in the history of the formal Stasi. A lot of Stasi-locations are in the direct neighbourhood. From hotel Lichtenberg you drive in one hour to Poland. Also nice for a daytrip. With M6 you are in half an hour on Berlin Alexanderplatz.

You hear a lot of traffic if you open the windows. The hotel is near an important crossing point and there are also driving trams. But it's good to do.
